+ Description
Temple of Beauty is a renovation and interior design project for a new salon of a well-known hair-styling chain founded in the province of Varese. The aim was to work on the special spatial character of the room: its rectangular plan and a height of almost 5 metres inspired the idea of turning a simple shop into a true temple of beauty. The interior is freed from obstacles and partitions, bright and welcoming, yet keeps a monumental and contemporary feel without contradiction. The signature of the project is the slight deformation of the two large side walls, which draw the eye of visitors upwards. Great care went into the ergonomics of the workspace, with the design of the workstations, reception, lighting, finishes and coverings, right through to the corporate identity. The original design also included replacing the large window facing Piazza Giovanni XXIII: the architects wanted to remove the frames and create a single large glass element to show the quality of the interior space more directly.
